Geo Factoid
During the Earth's history, its magnetic field has periodically reversed poles every few hundred thousand years. Evidence in the geologic record suggests that the process of reversal takes from 2,000 to 20,000 years to happen. When it next happens, will maps need to be re-printed upside down?
